Home-recorded psychedelia, gamelan orchestras and layers of warm acoustic guitar pop, with singing in German and English by the lovely Doro Tachler of Mice Parade, together with Mice Parade founder Adam Pierce. Doro lives in Munich and also used to play with the German group Alles Wie Gross. Adam lives in New York and also plays with HiM, Swirlies and others. Their record is 40 minutes of lo-fi lullabies and subtle rhythms, sometimes playful, sometimes almost reminiscent of the great Charalambides in their surreal. Die-hard Mice Parade fans will surely dig this stuff. These songs were all recorded at home, mostly on cassette 4-track, with some done on a Fostex 1/2" tape machine.
